 Another ear-worm from one of Seattle's best, By Seattle Girl "leftcoaster73" (Seattle, WA USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Dreams (MP3 Download) While touring last summer, trying out new tempos and riffs on their new songs, Brandi would introduce this song with the statement, "And yes, this >is< purely sexual."In this first single of their soon-to-be-released third album, Brandi Carlile and her band, guitarists Phil and Tim Hanseroth and cellist Josh Neumann, have constructed another toe-tapping, unassuming tune packed with emotion and energy. It starts off an unassuming ditty, that you may not even pay attention to, but the tension builds with each phrase, and explodes in an anthemic, rocking chorus that just makes you want to sing it at the top of your lungs while jumping up and down. "Dreams" unravels and details an emotion with which we are all familiar: the nearly painful longing for another, where you're busting to tell them, but then think better of it, wondering if your desire is as plain as the nose on your face, or whether you're really as cool as you'd like to think you are...
