One of the great pleasures of living in Argentina for three years was encountering music and art that was completely new to us. My liberal arts college education was really a Northern Hemisphere education. Among the music that we enjoyed so much was the music - compositions and performance - of Ariel Ramirez. Ramirez died last year, so there won't be any more recordings. Grab this one, and any others that you can. It's wonderful - rooted in Argentine traditions but accessible to all. Listening is a pleasure - you come away feeling much happier!
