This review is from: The Best of the Academy (Audio CD) NPR introduced me to the Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields and Sir Neville Marriner. The Academy is an outstand classical music group with a wide range of performances. This CD showcases both their abilities and range is almost two and a half hours of excellent music. The twenty-five tracks cover a full range of classics, starting with the Light Cavalry Overture to a minuet. Each track is enjoyable while taken together they provide a picture of a great musical unit and conductor. This is now easily available and well worth having in your classical CD collection!
