Lambert, who is nominated for a Grammy for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, has sold over 1 million copies worldwide of his debut album For Your Entertainment (19 Entertainment / RCA Records), released November 2009. He is first American Idol to ever tour the world in support of their debut album in the year following their Idol season. Lambert's hit single "Whataya Want From Me," written by Pink and Max Martin, became his first #1 hit on the Billboard charts, topping the Hot Singles Sales survey as well as Hot Dance Singles Sales chart. "Whataya Want From Me" has been a smash hit on many charts, including the Hot 100, Pop Songs, Adult Top 40, Adult Contemporary, Hot Digital Songs and Hot Dance Club Play. It has also become an international hit, going top 10 in Australia, Sweden, South Africa, New Zealand, Denmark, Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland, Argentina and Finland and reaching #1 airplay in Canada, Germany & Singapore. Then, along comes Adam Lambert to turn the industry on its head. Listening to the CD it is easy to think it is another crafted studio production piece with an added fake audience track. Not because it is lifeless, but because it is that good, that polished, that flawless! This was recorded one night about three months into a grueling national/international tour. No combining of the best of 10 concerts shot. No second takes. No studio magic. No editing except for camera angles and the brief pauses between some numbers (for the audience to go crazy.) Just pure talent and energy all wrapped up in an incredible tour show. I attended several of the shows and could not wait for this DVD. The vocals are stellar and I am so glad to have great quality mp3s from a live performance.
