Most of the recordings on this disc are my favorite interpretations of that piece. In particular, those of you accustomed to hearing schmaltzy versions of Pachelbel's Canon in department stores will probably find the Hogwood/AAM version to be a very refreshing change. This is a fantastic assembly of baroque movements played on period instruments. Of course, with the likes of Pachelbel, Handel, and Gluck you really can't go wrong. Yes, I've given it to so many friends and each time I have to buy myself a new copy. Honestly, I adore this CD. I may have even had a tape at one point before CD was popular. Don't miss this.
